Use Case: Create User
This action is used when we need to create a new user in Epic Employee Management Application which never existed. While creating the user, Identity Bridge will pass unique username and external ID alone with all other required attribute information to Epic Employee Management application so that user can be created. After user is created successfully Identity Bridge will receive USERID from Epic employee management application.
Use Case: Update User
This action is used when we have to update a user in Epic Employee Management Application that got updated in Epic Employee. It will update user attribute and will also call dependent functions to update department, roles, templates, entitlements, in basket classification.
Use Case: View User
We can use “View User” for retrieving and displaying the details and attributes associated with a specific user account within the Epic Employee Management.
We can provide the unique external ID or username or user ID to locate the specific user account within the Epic Employee Management.
Use Case: Enable User
The “Enable User” use case refers to the process of enabling an existing user account in Identity Bridge and Epic Employee Management application.
In this use case the user account which was in disabled state will be enabled.
Use Case: Disable User
The “Disable User” use case refers to the process of disabling an existing user account in Identity Bridge and Epic Employee Management application. This process will also delete SystemLogin attribute value from Epic Employee Management application.
Use Case: Rehire User
The term “rehire user” refers to the process of reactivating a user account for an individual who has previously been employed but has left and now returns to work again. When an employee or user leaves, their account in Identity Bridge and Epic Employee Management application is disabled and sometimes deleted. However, if that individual is rehired then that user account needs to be reactivated or recreated in Epic Employee Management and Identity Bridge.
Identity Bridge will use USERID attribute value to enable or create user in Epic Employee Management application. This USERID attribute is mapped with internal ID attribute of Epic Employee Management.
